Children, grandchildren? If not human how about dog, cat, etc? Names/ages?
Two children, two grandchildren, one dog, two cats.
What elementary school did you attend? Hamilton, Lafayette, Irving, Catholic School, somewhere else other than HP?
What have you been up to since you graduated?
Worked for DEC, Digital Equipment Corporation which gave me the opportunity to travel the country, work with a Fortune 50 company AND meet my husband of 38 years.
Moved from Washington DC to Greenville, SC.
Blessed with two children, starting teaching, retiring from the SC Dept of Ed and then taught ISO classes around the country and internationally. As of 2018, I’m a happily retired woman, enjoying my husband, grandchildren, family, my furrbabies and traveling.
Anyone from our class that you would like to hook up with again that you haven't spoken with in years?
Thank goodness for FB, there are very few I haven’t had the pleasure of getting to know again. However! Barbara Howley (sp?), Betsy Smith, (her brother and I are friendly on FB), and unfortunately, I wish I could speak with Aviva, who left us too, too early.
When was the last time you were in Highland Park?
Are you retired or going to retire soon? What do you want to do in the next five years?
Mel and I plan on moving within 10 minutes from our son so we can be like my grand parents were - readily available. Mel owns his own business and loves his profession, so while he continues traveling with his work, I will share 3 days a week with my currently (1/18) 2 month old grandson.
I want to learn to play the piano, continue learning Spanish and other languages, and travel to some awesome surfing championships. AND! BUY A BOAT!
Too many to narrow down or pick one. I’ll write a word bank:
WALKING to and from school with friends or by myself
Football and basketball games
Cafeteria food (freshman year, too shy to walk in cafeteria...found like hearted girls eating in the girls room next to typing class!)
Lockers .... and so much more.
Hello Beverly! Good to hear from you. Grandparenting is wonderful. I have lots of good memories of your smile. I’ll bet you were a terrific teacher. Here’s a picture of me, my sister Terri in the middle and sister Cathy in blue. January 2018.
